Requirements Gap Analysis

Is your proposal compliant?

Submitting a non-compliant proposal is one of the biggest risks in the bidding process. In a large, complex RFP, it’s dangerously easy to accidentally miss a requirement or provide a weak answer, which can lead to immediate disqualification. The Requirements Gap Analysis (RGA) in Proposal Quick Start (PQS) is a powerful feature purpose-built to eliminate this risk.

The RGA acts as an automated safety net, meticulously comparing your draft proposal against the original RFx to ensure every requirement is fully and properly addressed. It accomplishes this through two critical levels of analysis.

1. It Identifies Missing Requirements ("Orphans")
This is the most fundamental compliance check. The RGA performs a comprehensive scan to find any requirement stated in the RFx for which there is no corresponding response in your proposal
The Benefit: The RGA generates an "Orphan Report" that gives you a clear, actionable list of every requirement you missed. This instantly closes the most dangerous compliance gap and ensures your proposal is complete.

2. It Flags Inadequate or Weak Responses
This is where the RGA goes beyond a simple checklist and provides a deeper level of analysis. Powered by our proprietary BDVS algorithm, the RGA doesn't just check if a response exists; it analyzes the meaning and relevance of your response.
The Benefit: The RGA will flag responses that are a weak semantic match to the original requirement. This helps you find and fix answers that might be vague, incomplete, off-topic, or fail to address the core of the customer's question—all of which could be scored as non-compliant by an evaluator.

How It Works: An Actionable Report

All these findings are presented in a clear, interactive Excel report.

  • An "Orphan Report" provides a high-level dashboard of all identified gaps (both missing and weak).
  • A "Detail Report" shows the RFx requirement and your proposal's response side-by-side, with color-coding to indicate the strength of the match, allowing for rapid review and correction.

In summary, by identifying both what's missing and what's weak, the Requirements Gap Analysis provides the ultimate quality check. It gives your team the confidence that your proposal is not just complete, but truly compliant and responsive, significantly increasing your probability of winning.
